Dr. David Gilbert, DDS, MS, MBA
About Dr. Gilbert
Dr. Gilbert harbors a lifelong passion for science and engineering. He first took interest in surgery after he began clinical research in an animal lab. He then discovered oral and maxillofacial surgery and found that the intersection of dentistry, medicine, and surgery was his life’s calling. While he initially wanted to stay in academia, he eventually purchased Inland Institute Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2000 and began building a full-scope practice that diligently and compassionately serves the surrounding community.
When opening his practice, Dr. Gilbert wanted to foster an environment that prioritized providing the ultimate patient experience and delivered superior surgical outcomes, all served through excellent patient care. Dr. Gilbert also teaches other doctors to equip them with the knowledge they need to be successful doctors, committed to providing the same exceptional results he delivers with pride.

As a talented and expert surgeon, Dr. Gilbert has an impressive academic background that gave him a strong foundation to be a leader in his field. He completed both his Master of Science degree and Doctor of Dental Science degree at Loma Linda University. He also completed his residency at the university’s medical center. Because he knew he wanted to open his own practice, Dr. Gilbert attended the University of Redlands, School of Business where he completed his Master of Business Administration.
